Senior Emory Thompson rushed for 168 yards and five TDs on 11 carries for Paul Dunbar, who scored 40 of its points against Woodford County in the first half of the 54-6 rout Friday night.
A.J. Williams, also a senior, added 131 yards and two TDs on four carries. The Bulldogs (2-1) ran for 489 yards total, averaging 10.4 yards a carry as a team. Woodford County (0-3) managed just 59 rushing yards.
The Yellowjackets had more kickoff return yards (197) than total offensive yards (149) on the night.
Tates Creek 35, Perry County Central 12: In the battle of Commodores, Lexington's came out on top.
R.J. Taylor caught four passes for 120 yards and two TDs in the road win for Tates Creek (3-0). Junior QB Graham Gordon added 249 yards and three TDs on 12-for-18 passing.
Devan Brewer ran for 89 yards and a TD on 16 touches for Perry County Central (1-2).
Henry Clay 50, Clark County 0: Elijah Bell had 205 yards and three TDs on 12 carries, Joquise Buford rushed for 118 yards and a TD on four attempts, and the host Blue Devils (2-0) scored at least 50 points for the second straight week.
Henry Clay outgained the Cardinals (1-2) 483-134. The Blue Devils defense forced three fumbles on the night.
Lincoln County 22, Lexington Christian 21: The Eagles (1-2) took a 21-3 lead into halftime but failed to score in the second half against the visiting Patriots (1-2).
Senior Nathan Hooper recovered a Dima Ballard fumble and tied the game with 11:12 to go. Boone Baird's successful PAT following that score ended up being the game-winner for Lincoln.
The Eagles outgained the Patriots 358-154 on offense, with 230 coming on a 12-for-16 passing night for Ballard, a junior.
Highlands 62, Bryan Station 44: Zach Harris rushed for 110 yards and two TDs for the Bluebirds (3-0). The senior runing back also had four receptions for 81 yards and two TDs.
The Defenders (1-1) were led by Ora Johnson, who threw for 404 yards and four TDs in a 32-for-49 night which also included an interception.
Scott County 63, Pleasure Ridge Park 21: PRP (2-1) outgained the host Cardinals (3-0) in yardage 467-421, but failed to make the most of it. Scott County began and ended the game well, posting 21 and 28 points in the first and fourth quarters, respectively.
Theo Price rushed nine times for 86 yards and three TDs to lead the Cards, while Noah Hughes added 158 yards and a TD on 19 carries.
Simon Kenton 42, Conner 35: UK commit Drew Barker's four TD passes weren't enough for the Cougars (1-1), which couldn't overcome a Pioneers (3-0) offense that has averaged 37.7 points in its first three games.
Franklin County 56, Oldham County 17: The visiting Flyers (3-0) totaled 687 yards against the Colonels (1-2), nearly half coming from Barrett Sanderson. The sophomore threw for 333 yards and five TDs, including an 88-yard score to Malik Barrett that tied the game in the opening quarter.
Anderson County 35, South Oldham 20: A 21-point fourth quarter gave the host Bearcats (2-0) the win. Ryan Martin led the way versus the Dragons (1-2), rushing for 104 yards and a TD on six attempts.
Mason County 44, Rowan County 15: Junior running back Rico Hill scored three TDs in the home win for the Royals (2-0), extending the Vikings' (0-3) winless streak to six games dating to last season.
Elizabethtown 33, Washington Co. 7: Berneil Cecil carried 32 times for 235 yards and four TDs for the Panthers (3-0), making the second straight game in which the sophomore rushed for over 200 yards.
Union Co. 47, Webster Co. 7: Heath O’Nan rushed for 147 yards and three TDs on four carries for the Braves (1-1). Dylan Baty scored the lone TD for Webster Co. (1-2).
Campbell Co. 21, Newport Central Catholic 20: Avery Wood scored all three TDs for the Camels (2-1).
