Tates Creek's pursuit of a second consecutive 11th Region baseball title was postponed by heavy rain and lightning Thursday night.
The region finals between No. 1 Tates Creek and No. 23 Madison Central was in the bottom of the second inning at Western Hills when play was suspended.
There was no score, but Tates Creek had the bases loaded with two outs.
The championship game will resume Friday at 7 p.m.
Madison Central also had its semifinal game against Scott County interrupted by rain and lightning Tuesday night. The game was completed Wednesday night, with Madison Central pulling out a 3-2 victory.
The 11th Region winner advances to play the 15th Region representative in the Rawlings/KHSAA State Tournament next Tuesday at Whitaker Bank Ballpark.
