Zeke Pike, a former four-star quarterback recruited out of Dixie Heights, was released from Murray State's football team this week after being arrested and in violation of team rules, head coach Mitch Stewart told the Murray State News.
“Right now basically it is more important for Zeke Pike to take care of Zeke Pike rather than worry about football related items and give him the option to work on that,” Stewart told the News' website. “He can now step away and take care of himself without worrying about football.”
Pike was the top Class of 2012 prospect in Kentucky according to 247Sports, just ahead of Patrick Towles at Highlands. He originally committed to Auburn before transferring to Louisville and then Murray State.
