Elliott County's Ethan and Evan Faulkner will get to be basketball teammates a little longer before going to college.
The Faulkner twins were named to the Kentucky All-Stars boys' team that will play Indiana in June. (Ethan has signed with Northern Kentucky University, and Evan with Radford.)
Kentucky's boys' all-stars were announced Wednesday by the sponsoring Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation after tryouts at Campbellsville University over the weekend (the girls were named Tuesday).
University of Kentucky signee Jon Hood of Madisonville, Mr. Basketball, was guaranteed a spot.
All-staters Vee Sanford of Lexington Catholic, Darren Ballou of Adair County, C.J. Penny of Anderson County and Russ Middleton of Mason County also made the team, along with DeLon Butler of Apollo, Corey Jackson of Shawnee, Corey Wilford of Christian County, Aaron Wilson of Fulton City and Ridge Wilson of Central.
Kentucky All-Stars Coach Tony Hopper was pleased with the team's make-up.
"I think we've got a good mixture," he said. "We don't have any real big kids, but Indiana doesn't either. The players we've got are all pretty mobile."
Kentucky's boys and girls will play Indiana in Indianapolis in Conseco Fieldhouse June 13, and in Louisville at Bellarmine University June 14.
