■ Buckhorn closed the game on a 12-2 run and beat Henry Clay 48-38 in the Wierwille Shootout in Berea. Matt Day had 18 points and 18 rebounds for Buckhorn (2-1). Henry Clay (0-2), which did not have a double-figure scorer, shot 25 percent and was outrebounded 43-21.
■ Taylor Barnette had 21 points and 11 rebounds for Lexington Christian (2-1), which erased an 11-point deficit in the first quarter to beat visiting Franklin County 52-43. Eric Meyer had 17 points for Franklin County (1-1) but made only four of 18 three-point attempts.
■ Junior forward Travis Smith's second double-double of the season (14 points and 10 rebounds) wasn't enough for Sayre (2-1) in a 62-47 loss at Corbin (2-0).

■ Senior guard Sidney Wainscott scored 25 points — including the 1,000th of her career — and host Simon Kenton (2-0) posted a 67-46 victory over Conner (0-2).
■ Sophomore forward Hannah Morgan had 10 points and 14 rebounds, and eighth-grade forward Chelsea Ford added 10 points and 10 rebounds to lead Woodford County (2-0) to a 44-42 win at Frankfort (0-2).
