■ Jordan Hagan hit five three-pointers on his way to a game-high 20 points, and Tony Kimbro added 14 to lead top-ranked Jeffersontown past Chaparral (Ariz.) 74-58 and into the finals of the King of the Bluegrass tournament at Fairdale.
Chaparral got within nine points twice in the third quarter but couldn't overcome foul trouble.
Jeffersontown, rated No. 1 in the Herald-Leader's pre-season coaches' poll, will take on No. 2 Eastern, a 75-46 winner over No. 5 Bowling Green, in Wednesday's finals.
■ Lamont Johnson scored 29 points on 12-for-15 shooting, and Paul Dunbar rallied in the fourth quarter to beat host Lafayette 71-69 in the consolation bracket of the iHigh.com Fayette County Basketball Frenzy. Johnson, a senior, added eight rebounds and six steals. Junior William Gary scored 19 for the Bulldogs, who were down six going into the final period.
Tanner Napier led the Generals with 16 points. Jackson Davis had 13 points and 10 rebounds.
■ Marcus Williams scored 15 points, and Deon Renfro added 13 to lead host Bryan Station past West Jessamine 58-51 in the consolation bracket of the iHigh.com Fayette County Basketball Frenzy.
■ Taylor Barnette had 19 points, eight rebounds and four steals, and Tyler Harville added 18 points off the bench as Lexington Christian held off Grant County 66-62 in the consolation bracket of the Capitol City Invitational at Western Hills. Harville hit all 13 of his free-throw attempts.
■ Senior guard Jacob Dixon had 24 points and 10 rebounds, and McCreary Central cruised past Paintsville 67-45.
■ Phillip Roberts had 17 points and 15 rebounds, and fellow senior Cameron Haynes hit a free throw with four seconds left to ice the game in Scott's 71-70 victory over Simon Kenton. Haynes finished with 14 points. The Pioneers hit a meaningless three-pointer at the buzzer.
■ Candace Morton had 26 points, eight rebounds and four steals as host Henry Clay whipped Pike County Central 71-39 in the consolation bracket of the iHigh Fayette County Basketball Frenzy.
■ Sophomore Serena Sandusky scored 16 points and blocked four shots as Bryan Station held off Paul Dunbar 73-67 in the semifinals of the iHigh.com Fayette County Basketball Frenzy.
The Defenders will take on Fleming County, a 54-28 winner over Holmes, in Wednesday's finals.
■ Katie Pippen led four players in double figures with 15 points and grabbed six rebounds as Tates Creek cruised past Western Hills 55-42 in the consolation bracket of the iHigh.com Fayette County Basketball Frenzy at Bryan Station.
Oney Harrison added 12 points and seven steals for the Lady Commodores.
■ Javonna Layfield had 17 points, 12 rebounds and five steals, and Ballard withstood 42 points from Rebecca Greenwell to beat Owensboro Catholic 69-62. Greenwell, rated the fifth best player in the state in the Herald-Leader pre-season coaches' poll, also had eight rebounds, three assists and two steals.
■ Eighth-grader Katie Moore hit seven of eight three-point attempts on her way to 25 points, and big sister Hillary Moore scored 30 as host Leslie County rolled to a 78-52 win over Breathitt County. Moore tied the school record for threes. Her sister, a senior, added 11 rebounds.
■ LeeAnn Grider had 18 points, nine rebounds and nine steals to lead Russell County past Spencer County 57-38.
