■ Alex Botkin had 26 points and 14 rebounds, and Lexington Catholic, No. 21 in Dave Cantrall's Rating the State, beat host Tates Creek 70-52 in a game of big momentum swings. Lexington Catholic (12-9) went on a 21-5 run to open the game, and Tates Creek (7-15) answered with a 26-8 run to lead 31-29 at the half. But a 26-7 spurt in the third quarter put the Lady Knights ahead for good. Octavia Wilson added 16 points and eight rebounds for Catholic. Oney Harrison led Tates Creek with 20.
■ Austin Peay signee Kristen Stainback scored a game-high 28 points, and No. 10 Scott County secured the No. 1 seed in the 42nd District Tournament with an 83-64 victory over visiting Henry Clay. Senior guard Candace Morton led Henry Clay with 21 points.
■ Junior forward Sydney Moss had a career-high 41 points to outscore visiting Conner (6-11) on her own, and No. 3 Boone County (17-3) rolled to a 76-40 victory. Moss also had 15 rebounds.
■ Mike Smith led all scorers with 19 points, and Sayre (8-7) beat Paris 49-42 in the Bluegrass Conference Tournament at Model. Aaron Jacobs had 16 points and seven rebounds for Paris (4-14).
■ Sophomore forward Omar Prewitt had 24 points and eight rebounds to lead host Montgomery County (9-10) to an 84-53 rout of Bourbon County (5-15).
