Alyssa Lucas hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to lift Woodford County to a 50-47 victory against Western Hills in the semifinals of the 41st District tournament at the Frankfort Convention Center.
Jessica Morgan scored 14 points to go with 16 rebounds and eight blocked shots for the Lady Yellowjackets (23-6). Lucas finished with nine points.
Meagan Walker scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds for Western Hills.
Woodford County will play Franklin County in the district championship game on Friday.
No. 1 Manual 74, No. 3 Mercy 68 (25th): Mercy, which fell behind by as many as 12 points, closed the gap to three in the fourth quarter, but the top-ranked Lady Crimsons prevailed in the championship game at Male.
Manual's Mecheal Guess and April Wilson both scored 13 points, and Kayla Styles had 11 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks. Juliann Miller had 18 points, five rebounds and three assists for Mercy.
Clark Co. 50, Montgomery Co. 34 (40th): Shamy Williams hit five three-pointers and led all scorers with 19 points in the Cardinals' victory in the finals at Bourbon County.
No. 6 Elizabethtown 77, John Hardin 31 (17th): Natalie Greenwell scored 10 points and became the Lady Panthers' all-time leading scorer in the host team's semifinals victory. Kaylyn Cecil led Elizabethtown with 21 points and Greenwell also had five rebounds and three assists.
Taylor Co. 54, Adair Co. 53 (20th): Mercedes Cox, who scored a game-high 38 points, made a pair of free throws with 8.9 seconds left to give Taylor County the win in the semifinals at Marion County. The Cardinals will play the hosts in the championship game on Friday.
No. 2 Ballard 73, No. 7 Louisville Trinity 62 (27th): DeVante Parker scored 35 points and the Bruins ended the host Shamrocks' season with a victory in the semifinals. Ballard will face Seneca, which defeated Waggener 104-75, in Friday's finals.
Pike Co. Central 63, Belfry 62 (60th): Hobo McCoy, who had 41 points, was fouled on the game-tying layup and hit the ensuing free throw with two seconds left to lift host Pike Central to the victory in the championship game. McCoy, who was 11-for-12 from the free-throw line, scored 17 points in the fourth quarter.
Sheldon Clark 72, Paintsville 71 (57th): The Cardinals were outscored by 10 in the fourth quarter but held on to defeat the Tigers and advance to Friday's finals against host Johnson Central. Tyler Lafferty scored 27 for Sheldon Clark. Josh Green had 35 for Paintsville.
Danville 79, Boyle Co. 71 (45th): Danville's Tryston Ford scored a career-high 28 points and Demarcus Walton had 21 points, 12 rebounds and was 7-for-8 from the free-throw line in the second half in the semifinals at Garrard County.
Barbourville 65, Pineville 63 (51st): Barbourville's Travis Beck made six three-pointers and scored 24 points in the semifinals at Pineville. The Tigers will play Knox Central for the championship on Friday.
Lee Co. 60, Powell Co. 46 (56th): Dontarius Pittman, the Bobcats' 6-foot-8 senior center, had 20 points, 19 rebounds and 11 blocks in his team's victory in the semifinals. Lee County will play Estill County in the championship game Friday at Owsley County.
Boone Co. 46, Cooper 44 (33rd): The visiting Rebels jumped out to a seven-point lead at halftime and held on to advance to the championship game against Ryle, which defeated Conner 54-32 in the other semifinals. Trevan Brown led Boone County with 14 points.
