■ David Greenwell led all scorers with 22 points, including a layup with 30 seconds left in overtime that gave Woodford County a 60-59 victory over Bryan Station in the Mr. Basketball Classic at Tates Creek. Jordan Henry led Bryan Station (0-1) with 15 points, and Larry Morton added 11 points and 10 rebounds. Morton made two free throws with 29 seconds left in regulation to force overtime tied at 52. William Starcher scored 13 points for Woodford County (1-0).
■ Host Tates Creek went 11-for-12 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter to hold off Henry Clay 50-46 in the Mr. Basketball Classic. Darius Gibson made eight free throws in the final period — including a pair with 11 seconds left after Henry Clay had pulled to 47-46 — and finished with 13 points for the Commodores (1-1), who trailed 23-11 late in the second quarter. Trey Grundy of Henry Clay (0-1) led all scorers with 25 points on 11-for-20 shooting. No other Devils player scored more than six points.
■ Jack Whitman had 20 points, 14 rebounds and six blocks to lead host Lexington Catholic to a 61-48 win over Lexington Christian. Trailing 26-17 in the second quarter, the Knights (1-0) went on an 18-2 run fueled by two three-pointers apiece from Rashad Bennett and Dillon Avare, who finished with 11 points. Tyler Harville scored 18 points for the Eagles (1-1), and Jon Lannertone posted a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
