High school basketball: Bullitt East able to top Henry Clay despite Willis suspension

Bellarmine University signee Rusty Troutman scored 19 points to lead Bullitt East, No. 2 in the Herald-Leader pre-season poll, to a 58-55 victory over No. 5 Henry Clay in the Mr. Basketball Classic. In the nightcap, No. 13 Montgomery County expanded a four-point halftime lead to 19 through three quarters en route to a 72-58 win over Tates Creek.
