Paul Dunbar's girls' basketball team, ranked 15th in Dave Cantrall's Rating the State, pulled ahead 39-37 late in the third quarter and held on from there in a 56-51 victory over No. 19 Mercy.
Brooke Todd, who scored the go-ahead basket, had a triple-double for the Lady Bulldogs. She had 14 points, 15 rebounds and 11 blocked shots. Shakeema Jackson added 19 points.
■ No. 6 Franklin County got 16 points apiece from Dasia Kilbourne and Princess Stewart in a 65-54 victory against No. 23 Monroe County in the Centria Metals/Staxx BBQ Shootout at Frankfort. Stewart also had six rebounds, four assists and three steals while Malaka Frank added 15 points and Nannilena White had nine points and seven assists.
Reagan Turner scored a game-high 23 points for the Falcons.

■ Three Lafayette players had double-doubles in the ninth-ranked Lady Generals' 61-52 win in the Centria Metals/Staxx BBQ Shootout at Frankfort. Ashanti Thomas led the way with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Dee Givens had 11 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and four steals. Sarah Cooley had 12 points and 11 rebounds.
■ Scott County (5-6) had plenty of stars in a 70-56 victory at Lexington Catholic (8-5). Danielle DeFoor scored 24 points, Tereka Guyn had 21 points and five blocked shots, Audriana Christopher had 11 points and eight assists, and Lauren Boehm had 11 points and 12 rebounds for the Cardinals. Rachel Blake led Catholic with 15 points, five rebounds and four assists.
■ Mason County scored its final five points with no time left on the clock in a 68-63 win against Fleming County. McKenzie Butler got fouled on a three-point attempt at the buzzer and Panthers Coach Kristy Orem was called for a technical foul afterward. Butler, who finished with 33 points, made all five ensuing free-throw attempts.
■ Lexington Catholic defeated Tates Creek 71-54 for its ninth straight win after starting the season 2-2. Tanner Johnson went 8-for-13 from three-point range and scored a game-high 30 points. Michael Talbott had 11 points and seven assists, and Robert Dence added 10 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks for the Knights. Jordan Fucci and Ian Davis both scored 13 for the Commodores.
■ Will Henderson scored 23 points and dished out six assists in No. 24 West Jessamine's 78-66 victory at Mercer County. The Colts (9-3) also got 22 points, nine rebounds and two assists from Daulton Peters, and Brooks Ely had 13 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Russell Sims hit six three-pointers and led Mercer County (6-5) with 29 points and nine rebounds.
■ Henry Clay was up by eight at halftime and stretched its lead to as many as 33 in the second half of a 75-44 victory against visiting Moore. Jordan Green led a balanced Blue Devils attack with 14 points, 12 rebounds, three assists and three blocks. Campbell Setzer hit three three-pointers and finished with 11 points.
■ Gaige Ray scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in Pikeville's 84-62 win over visiting Belfry. Zachary Huffman added 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Panthers.
■ Koebe Garrard had 29 points and 17 rebounds in Paris' 70-65 victory against visiting Bourbon County.
