Madison Central 77, Model 64 (44th): The Indians, defending state champs, opened their title defense with a victory at Eastern Kentucky University's McBrayer Arena.
DeMarcus George scored 20 points, Sam Jones had 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Isaiah Johnson contributed eight points, four assists and four steals.
Zack Rice-Gordon had 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Patriots.
Fleming County 84, Menifee County 64 (61st): Wilder Williams scored 14 points and had 12 rebounds in host Fleming County's win. Thomas Chaney had 16 points and 11 rebounds for Menifee.
Corbin 59, Whitley County 57 (50th): Joey Shelton, a senior, hit a game-winning jumper at the buzzer for the Redhounds.
No. 4 Franklin County 61, Frankfort 31 (41st): Nannilena White scored 15 points, grabbed four rebounds and also had five assists and three steals in a rout at the Frankfort Convention Center. Anna Arrastia and Rebecca Cook added 11 points apiece and Cook had eight rebounds.
Jasmine Turpin scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds, and Brianna Burbridge had 10 points, 12 rebounds and five blocked shots for Frankfort.
Madison Central 66, Model 35 (44th): Shadae Bosley scored 13 points, pulled down 12 rebounds and blocked four shots for the Indians. Bailey O'Bryan and Emily Willoughby both had five assists.
Danville 59, Lincoln County 49 (45th): Essence Grey scored 30 points to go with nine assists and eight rebounds for Danville.
