Down two points with 16 seconds left, Lafayette's girls got a three-pointer from Caroline Bennett and a pair of late free throws from Kiara Pankins to prevail 61-58 against Madison Southern in the Berea Holiday Classic. The Lady Generals played twice Saturday and also defeated Boyle County 57-44.
Dee Givens scored a team-high 17 points against Madison Southern, and Bennett's clutch shot was her only basket of the game. Givens' 19 against Boyle County was also a team high while Pankins had 16 points and 13 rebounds.
■ Freshman Mashayla Cecil hit five three-pointers and led Paul Laurence Dunbar with 22 points in a 64-45 defeat of visiting Conner.
■ Emily Vaught scored a career-high 22 points in Somerset's 64-49 win against Williamsburg.

Girls' Traditional Bank Holiday Classic highlights
■ Up two at halftime, Lexington Catholic's girls used a 21-1 third-quarter advantage to pull away from visiting Breckinridge County in the Traditional Bank Holiday Classic. Rachel Blake hit three three-pointers and finished with a game-high 16 points. The Lady Knights also got 15 points and five assists from Bailey Browning, and eight points and 10 rebounds from Sarah Bonn.
■ Lexington Catholic dropped its second game of the day, 58-42 to Mercy. Malerie Martin had 19 points, nine rebounds, five assists, three blocks and three steals for the Jaguars.
■ University of Kentucky signee Morgan Rich scored 21 points, including going 3-for-4 from three-point range, in Allen County-Scottsville's 72-41 win against Grayson County.
■ Erin Boley's double-double — 22 points and 14 rebounds — sent Elizabethtown to a 64-41 victory against Scott. Rachel Wharton added 10 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals.
■ Ally Mayhaus had 18 points, nine rebounds, six blocked shots, two assists and two steals in Covington Holy Cross' 54-46 win against Sacred Heart.
■ Spencer Sims had 14 points and Emma King scored eight to go with five steals in Lincoln County's 68-42 victory against Jeffersontown. Kiara Pearl had 18 points, eight rebounds and four steals for the Lady Chargers.
■ Knott County Central stars Camron Justice and Evan Hall scored 29 and 27 points, respectively, in a 78-66 victory against defending state champion Covington Catholic in the Kentucky Bank Challenge at Rowan County. Justice was 4-for-7 from three-point range and Hall had nine rebounds.
■ Harrison Lane scored 22 points and dished out six assists in Lafayette's 97-79 victory against Lawrence County in Georgetown. Lane was 4-for-8 from three-point range. The Generals also got a double-double — 16 points and 13 rebounds — from Ross Jenkins. Lucky Jackson added 15 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
■ Pleasure Ridge Park led by 20 points in the fourth quarter before holding on for an 86-82 victory against Bryan Station in the Wes Unseld Classic at Seneca. Richard Gaines scored 22 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for the Panthers. The Defenders got 25 points and eight rebounds from Deandre Dishman, and Andre Davis had 13 points, five rebounds and four steals.
■ Dwayne Sutton hit 13 of 17 attempts from the field and scored 29 points to go with 11 rebounds in Manual's 77-63 win at Scott County. Hines Jones had 18 points, three assists and three steals for the Cardinals.
■ Matt Rose scored 18 points and Benton Nighbert had 14, including four three-pointers, in Lexington Christian's 63-50 win against the host Yellowjackets in the Woodford County Invitational.
■ Isaiah Okesson hit four three-pointers and finished with 18 points in West Jessamine's 96-83 defeat of Breathitt County in the Kentucky Bank Challenge at Rowan County.
Devin Cook, David McCorvey and Siah Holifield scored 11 points apiece for West Jessamine, which forced 27 turnovers.
