Jordan Houston’s layup with two seconds left gave Henry Clay, 18th in Dave Cantrall’s Rating the State, a 57-56 victory over Harrison County. The Thorobreds had trailed by as many as 13 points before rallying to take the lead twice in the fourth quarter, the last time at 56-55 on a free throw by Robbie Stroub.
Isaiah Tisdale led the Blue Devils with 17 points, and five rebounds before fouling out. Stroub scored 14 points and grabbed eight bounds while teammate Zack Pulliam had 19 points.
Henry Clay will host No. 2 Louisville Trinity on Wednesday night. The Blue Devils took No. 1 Ballard to overtime before falling 79-75 last week.
Paul Laurence Dunbar trailed 12-0 before eventually rallying to defeat host Lafayette 66-62. The Bulldogs trimmed their deficit to four by halftime and took the lead for good with 2:31 left in the game. Darius Williams scored a game-high 31 points. He was 5-for-7 from three-point range and also had four rebounds and two assists. Taveion Hollingsworth added 21 points, six rebounds, four steals and three assists.

No. 12 Bryan Station finished the first quarter on an 11-0 run to go up by eight, then went on to rout visiting Sayre 68-41.
Andre Davis led a balanced scoring attack for the Defenders with 15 points, followed by C.J Walker and Timothy Dunn with 12 apiece. Taquan Claitt added 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists, three blocks and three steals.
Dorian Henry scored 21 points to go with 13 rebounds in No. 13 Mason County’s 67-50 win at home against Paris. The Royals’ Jake O’Mara pitched in with 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Williamsburg, the last unbeaten boys’ team in the state, improved to 17-0 with a 62-41 win against Whitley County.
Up by three early in the second quarter, No. 22 Lafayette used a 10-1 run to take control in a 62-33 win at home against Paul Laurence Dunbar. Dee Givens scored 21 points, including three three-pointers, to lead the Lady Generals. Kiara Pankins nearly had a double-double with 18 points and nine boards.
Junior Tori Dant hit the game-winner as time expired to give Scott a 62-60 victory at home against Clark County.
Up by four going into the fourth quarter, North Bullitt pulled away for a 64-49 victory against Louisville Christian in the Louisville Invitational Tournament at Bellarmine. Lauren Deel had 24 points, seven rebounds, three steals and two assists in the Lady Eagles’ victory.
