Wandale Robinson is the state’s leading rusher with an average of 231 yards per game in the Wolverines’ first six contests. Robinson, a junior who was offered by UK over the summer, has helped lead Western Hills to a 5-1 start this season. The Wolverines bring a five-game win streak into the matchup. Robinson is considered a three-star prospect by 247Sports and also has reported offers from Louisville, Western Kentucky, Cincinnati, Purdue, Duke, Virginia and Syracuse.
Beau Allen, a sophomore quarterback whom UK offered in May, is fourth in Class 3A with an average of 203 passing yards per game. He’s thrown 12 touchdowns for the Knights, who are 3-3 this season. Allen also has reported offers from Bowling Green and Eastern Kentucky.
Western Hills started its season 5-1 last year before a 41-7 home loss to Lexington Catholic. Robinson was injured in the first quarter of that contest and never re-entered the game.
