Fairview built a 12-0 lead on a pair of touchdown runs by Gary Felder before host Lexington Christian found its footing in its 23-12 victory in the Class A playoffs. The Eagles will play Hazard in the semifinals.
Scout McCamy threw for 195 yards and two touchdowns, both to Chad Snyder, and Clay Mossbarger ran for a 16-yard score for the Eagles.
Felder had 128 rushing yards for Fairview.
Hazard 59, Pikeville 34: Hazard jumped out to a 49-7 halftime lead en route to a big victory at Pikeville. John Combs, Cory Slone and Zack Blanton scored two rushing TDs apiece and Combs threw another to Austin Johnson.
Newport Central Catholic 56, Covington Holy Cross 21: Chris Kelly ran for 184 yards and four touchdowns in the Thoroughbreds' home victory. Brady Hightchew added 123 rushing yards and a TD, and also threw a 25-yard TD pass to Jake Cain.
Corbin 48, Prestonsburg 14: Matthew Taylor ran for 1-yard scores and caught a 32-yard pass from Ty Cobb in Corbin's home win against Prestonsburg. Cobb also threw a 36-yard TD pass to Brady Foley.
Somerset 29, Breathitt Co. 26: Breathitt County outgained Somerset 435 yards to 239 and won the turnover battle 6-2, but a 22-yard interception return by Derrick Jackson in the fourth quarter gave the Briar Jumpers the road win.
Bell Co. 41, Knox Central 13: Bell County's Dudley Hilton tied former Newport Central Catholic coach Bob Schneider as the all-time winningest coach in Kentucky high school football history when his Bobcats delivered his 345th career victory, a rout of visiting Knox Central.
Corey Davenport led the way with two touchdown runs and a TD catch. Hilton will seek his 346th win in the semifinals against Boyle County.
Western 31, Collins 26: Collins' fourth-quarter rally came up short against visiting Western. Jacorey Ritchie ran for 170 yards and two scores and Western led 31-13 in the fourth quarter. Darian Dugle scored on a 3-yard run and Brandon Cresap threw his third TD pass to make it 31-26, but Collins ran out of time.
John Hardin 28, Anderson Co. 24: Eli Mitchell threw a 9-yard TD pass to Jeremy Harness with 2:16 left to give John Hardin the road win. Harness ran for 146 yards, including 14- and 88-yard scores.
Trinity 35, St. Xavier 7: The Tigers held Trinity to seven points in the first half, but Derek Bishop ran for three scores in the second half as the Shamrocks pulled away at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. Bishop finished with 104 rushing yards and Trinity quarterback Travis Wright threw two TD passes to Hunter Kopp.
