Games went on despite 'blink'
A "blink" at a transmission substation in Danville temporarily darkened at least three high school football stadiums on Friday night, but a Kentucky Utilities spokesman said there were no outages.
Lights reportedly went out at the Bryan Station, Tates Creek and Boyle County stadiums shortly before 9 p.m. Friday. Elsewhere, the lights blinked but did not go out, KU spokesman Cliff Feltham said.
"We just had a blink on the system, but it was a pretty widespread blink," Feltham said. "The blink stretched from Danville all the way into Lexington."
Never miss a local story.
The cause of the blink was not immediately known, Feltham said.
