Boyle County vs. Bullitt East in Death Valley Bowl at Lincoln County, 8 p.m.: Chuck Smith is back in the saddle as coach at Boyle County. The Rebels will have to keep Bullitt East's versatile Pierce Kelly in check.
Pulaski County vs. Corbin in Ray Correll Bowl at Somerset, 6 p.m.: Pulaski County, 5A runner-up a year ago, returns a lot of firepower, led by quarterback Riley Hall. Corbin has a new coach in Justin Haddix.
Bryan Station vs. Harlan County in Roy Kidd Bowl at Madison Central, 5:30 p.m.: The Defenders have speed at the skill positions; Harlan County has muscle in the trenches. The second game matches Madison Central, under new coach Mark Scenters, and Murray, under new coach Keith Hodge.
Lexington Catholic vs. Allen County-Scottsville in Rafferty's Bowl at WKU, 6 p.m.: New coach Mark Perry hopes to have Lexington Catholic air-raiding the Patriots, who haven't had a winning season since their 4A state runner-up finish in 2010.
