NEW YORK — Awesome Ashley rallied to beat Devil House by 3½ lengths, pulling off an upset Friday in the $66,700 Plankton Stakes for fillies and mares at Aqueduct.
Fifth in the early stages, Awesome Ashley swung to the far outside on the final turn for the determined run through the lane that produced her first stakes win, and fourth in 17 career starts.

The gray 5-year-old trained by Todd Pletcher and ridden by Ramon Dominguez ran the one mile in 1:35.87 on the fast track.
Awesome Ashley was an 11-1 shot. Weathered, the 4-5 favorite, was third.
