There's been no progress in an investigation into who vandalized the carriage of a Dutch competitor at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games overnight Friday.
Kentucky State Police are continuing to look into the matter, spokesman Lt. David Jude said early Sunday.
IJsbrand Chardon found his carriage cushions slashed and a quantity of oil and brake fluid underneath the carriage. Someone apparently had breached the secure stable area, which has private security guards at all entrances and is also checked by state police patrols.
Jamie Link, chief executive of the Games, said Sunday that at no time were horses in any danger. Additional security was being provided by stewards around the perimeter of the stables, he said.
"We have taken every measure we humanly could" to ensure security, Link said.
During the last two days of the Games, police increased their patrols around the area.
