The 75th annual Junior League Horse Show kicks off competition Monday night at The Red Mile in Lexington. Organizers expect 30,000 spectators for the six-day event, the first leg of the saddlebred Triple Crown.
Events on the first night start at 7 p.m. General admission tickets may be purchased at Lexjrleague.com or at the door. They are $5 per person Monday through Thursday and $10 per person Friday and Saturday nights. Children under 6 are admitted free and parking is free at The Red Mile. Proceeds from the competition, which features nearly 1,000 participants vying for more than $75,000 in prize money, go to non-profit organizations.
