■ Winter Memories came out of her victorious 2011 debut in Thursday's Grade III Appalachian Stakes in good order, according to trainer James Toner, and she will stay at Keeneland through the weekend before shipping to New York.
■ Ken McPeek leads the trainer standings with 12 victories, four away from equalling Todd Pletcher's Spring Meet record of 16 wins set in 2005.
