■ Three track records were set at Keeneland on Thursday, bringing the total to five that have fallen so far during the Fall Meet. In addition to Sanagas winning the Sycamore Stakes in 2:39.40 — besting the previous mark of 2:42.69 for 15⁄8 miles, Baby Afleet established a new standard for 11⁄16 miles on the main track when the gelding won the 10th race in 1:41.61. Earlier, Hammers Terror covered the Beard course of 7 furlongs and 184 feet on the main track in the fifth race in 1:24.31, bettering the old mark of 1:24.38 set by champion sprinter Midnight Lute in October 2006.
■ Stephanie's Kitten, winner of the Grade I Darley Alcibiades on Oct. 7, and Coalport, second in the Grade III Bourbon two days later, worked for the first time since their wins for trainer Wayne Catalano in preparation for their expected Breeders' Cup starts in the Juvenile Fillies Turf and Juvenile Turf, respectively. Stephanie's Kitten breezed 5 furlongs in a bullet :59 with a gallop-out time of 1:144⁄5 on the main track. Coalport worked 5 furlongs in 1:01.60 and galloped out in 1:152⁄5.
