■ Grade II winner Fortune Pearl won her first start since running fourth in the Grade I Alabama last August when she rallied on the far outside under jockey Rajiv Maragh to take the first race on Keeneland's Blue Grass Stakes card. Trained by Graham Motion, Fortune Pearl won the Grade II Delaware Oaks last July.
■ Seven-year-old Majestic Harbor earned his first win since taking the Grade I Gold Cup at Santa Anita Park last June 14 when he prevailed in the day's fourth race. Majestic Harbor drew into the 11⁄8-mile race when it was taken off the turf and run on the main track. Trained by Paul McGee, the son of Rockport Harbor improved his record to seven wins from 30 career starts.
■ This was the first year the Blue Grass Stakes has been held on Keeneland's opening Spring Meet weekend, four weeks out from the Kentucky Derby. Attendance for the 2014 Blue Grass Stakes was 39,722.
