The Lexington Legends squandered a six-run lead but recovered to beat the Kannapolis Intimidators 7-6 in 10 innings Monday night at Whitaker Bank Ballpark.
A passed ball by Kannapolis catcher Mike Blanke allowed pinch runner Ben Orloff to score the winning run with the bases loaded in the 10th.
The Legends also loaded the bases with nobody out in the bottom of the ninth but failed to score.
The Legends built a 6-0 lead through the first six innings. Jiovanni Mier started the scoring with a two-run homer in the first inning, his third of the year.
Daniel Adamson's RBI triple made it 3-0 in the third, and Mike Kvasnicka's three-run homer in the sixth made it 6-0.
Kannapolis rallied for four runs in the seventh and two in the ninth to tie it at 6.
