Carlos Quevedo threw seven shutout innings for his seventh win of the season as the Lexington Legends whipped the Kannapolis Intimidators 5-1 at Whitaker Bank Ballpark Wednesday night.
Quevedo allowed six hits, struck out seven batters and walked no one.
The Legends began the fifth with five straight hits to chase starter Matthew Heidenreich and score three runs.
Bryce Lane began the rally with a double, Lexington's only extra-base hit of the game.
Hector Rodriguez, playing his first game for the Legends since tranferring from Tri-City in the New York-Penn League, had a single, knocked in a run and scored a run.
Lane had two hits and scored twice. Jay Austin also had two hits, knocked in a run and scored a run.
Rangel Ravelo led the losers with three hits, including a double. The Intimidators lone run was unearned when Lexington shortstop Ben Orloff committed an error.
