Brandon Jacobs singled in a run in the bottom of the 11th inning to lift the host Greenville Drive to an 11-10 victory over the Lexington Legends Friday night.
The Drive had tied the game 10-10 with four runs in the bottom of the ninth. The tying run came in on a wild pitch by Jason Chowning after the rally had been kept alive by a fielding error and interference by Lexington catcher Roberto Pena.
Tyler Burnett had three hits including a homer and scored three runs for the Legends. Jay Austin knocked in four runs with two doubles.
The Legends, who banged out 15 hits but committed five errors, fell behind 5-0 after two innings, partly because of three unearned runs, But they came back to take a 10-6 lead into the last of the ninth.
