Kyle Parker hit a three-run home run in the third inning and Corey Dickerson followed with his South Atlantic League-leading 27th long ball of the season to lead the Asheville Tourists to a 5-4 victory over the Lexington Legends Monday at Whitaker Bank Ballpark.
The loss was the Legends' 12th in the past 13 games.
Asheville scored an unearned run in the first. Leadoff hitter Avery Barnes reached on shortstop Ben Orloff's fielding error and eventually came around on Christian Adames' infield single.
The Legends evened the count in the second when Roberto Pena's two-out single brought home Telvin Nash.
Never miss a local story.
Parker delivered the big blow of the game with his three-run blast to left in the third, his 21st of the season. Dickerson was the next hitter and his solo shot made it 5-1.
In the bottom of the third Domingo Santana cut Lexington's deficit in half with a two-run blast to right-center that scored Delino DeShields Jr. ahead of him.
DeShields got the Legends within a run in the fourth on a sacrifice fly that brought home Pena, but that was it for the scoring.
The Legends had only two base runners the rest of the way and both were erased on double plays.
