Telvin Nash drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 10th, and the Lexington Legends beat the Asheville Tourists 5-4 Thursday night at Whitaker Bank Ballpark.
With two outs and runners at first and second, Nash laced a line drive to left field, scoring Delino DeShields Jr. to end it and give the Legends their third win in 17 games. Lexington split the four-game home series ahead of a five-game series at West Virginia, the team's final road trip of the year.
It was the only hit for Nash, who is batting .310 over his last 10 games with two home runs and 10 RBI. He also has seven doubles in that span.
Domingo Santana hit a two-run shot to right in the eighth to tie it for Lexington. And Gabriel Garcia (2-5) pitched no-hit ball through the last three innings to pick up the win. Garcia hasn't given up a run over 10 innings in his last four appearances.
Asheville scored three runs in the second off Legends starter Thomas Shirley, playing in his first game with Lexington after being called up from Tri-City. He walked three and hit a batter in the inning, leading to three earned runs on one hit. Shirley got out of the inning but was replaced to start the third.
