Third baseman Drew Robinson hit a ground-ball single to right in the ninth inning to drive in Christopher Grayson and lift the host Hickory Crawdads past the Lexington Legends 8-7 in a minor-league baseball game Friday night.
Grayson, who is hitting .327, doubled to start the inning. Then Zachary Cone, who had three hits and three RBI, walked before Hanser Alberto bunted them up a base and Robinson ended it.
Most of the Legends offense came from three two-run homers: Zach Johnson in the first inning, Chris Epps in the fourth and Mike Kvasnicka in the eighth.
The Crawdads took a 7-4 lead when they rallied for four runs on five hits in the seventh even though Legends second baseman Delino DeShields threw out Alberto at the plate.
Reliever Phil Klein pitched a scoreless ninth, struck out two and got the win, his first.
