Jordan Scott's RBI single to center field in the 10th inning gave the Lexington Legends a dramatic 4-3 victory over the Augusta GreenJackets on Monday night at Whitaker Bank Ballpark.
The Legends rallied twice — in the eighth and ninth innings — to extend the game.
Down 2-0 in the eighth, the Legends tied it on a groundouts by Justin Gominsky and James Howick.
A pair of doubles in the ninth inning by Joseph Staley and Garrett Buechele gave the lead back to Augusta. But the Legends' Matt Duffy hit his eight home run of the season in the bottom of the ninth to even the score again.
Carlos Quevedo (4-1) pitched three innings and struck out six batters to earn the win for Lexington. Starter Luis Ordosgoitti pitched seven innings and gave up the first two runs. He also had six strikeouts.
