CHARLESTON, S.C. — Nicky Delmonico from the Delmarva Shorebirds got a pair of hits and scored two runs as the Northern Division defeated the Southern Division, 3-2, with 6,099 fans on hand for the 53rd Annual South Atlantic League All-Star Game on Tuesday.
Delmonico, a first baseman, doubled in the seventh and singled in the fifth to earn the MiLB.com Top Star Award.
The game was scoreless for the first four innings thanks to solid pitching by both sides.
Mike Foltynewicz of the Lexington Legends started for the South and was the only pitcher to work two innings, allowing no hits while fanning four.

David Filak of the Rome Braves pitched the fifth inning and gave up one run on two hits to suffer the loss.
Matt Duffy of Lexington joined Delmonico with two hits.
■ First baseman Harold Riggins of the Asheville Tourists hit three home runs in the final round of the Miller High Life Home Run Derby on Tuesday evening to defeat third baseman Matt Duffy of the Lexington Legends, 3-0.
