The Legends have one more game left in this series against the Delmarva Shorebirds at Perdue Stadium in Salisbury, Maryland. The two teams will wrap up a four-game series with a 5:05 p.m. game Sunday, and the weather looks great for the late-afternoon game.
A three-hour bus ride to Hagerstown, Maryland will follow the game, and the Legends will play four games there Monday through Thursday. An eight-hour overnight ride to Lexington will follow the Thursday night game in Hagerstown, and the Legends play at home Friday night against Augusta.
The Legends log about 9,000 miles on the bus each season. The current road trip began with a 10-hour trip to Salisbury from Lexington. The other stops in the league farthest from Lexington are Lakewood, New Jersey (about 11 hours, but there is no trip to Lakewood on the schedule this year) and Savannah, Georgia, about 9 1/2 hours.
