Former University of Kentucky star Wesley Woodyard had five solo tackles, tied for the team lead, in the Tennessee Titans' 26-10 victory Sunday at Kansas City.
Woodyard chased Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith out of bounds on the sixth play of the game for a quarterback sack, the ninth of his career.
The Titans held Chiefs star Jamaal Charles to 19 rushing yards and 15 receiving yards. His longest run Sunday was for six yards.
"We just played sound defense," Woodyard, a team captain in all seven of his NFL seasons, told The Tennessean. "When guys were supposed to be in their gaps, they were in their gaps. And after that, it was just hustling and making plays, believing in your teammates and backing them up."
Avery Williamson, a rookie linebacker out of UK, did not register any statistics.
