The Indianapolis Colts signed safety Winston Guy Jr. to their practice squad and released inside linebacker Rob Ruggiero from the practice squad.
Guy a former Lexington Catholic and University of Kentucky star, has played in 20 career games (five starts) with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Seattle Seahawks. He has 38 career tackles (28 solo), two quarterback sacks, two passes defensed and one forced fumble.
He started three of the first four games for the Jaguars with 14 tackles, one sack and one pass defensed.
If Guy can work his way onto the Colts' active roster, he could get the opportunity to play against his former Jaguars teammates on Nov. 23. He tweeted that Jacksonville should bring its "A" game, "cause I'm bringing my A+"
Never miss a local story.
He followed that up, though, with this tweet: "Thank You Jaguars and to (Coach) Gus Bradley for giving me the best opportunity to play there. Thanks to the fans that loved me. I enjoyed my time."
Guy was originally selected by the Seahawks in the sixth round (181st overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft.
