Justin Ward rolled his third 800 series of the season — and his career — this past week. His 804 came on Oct. 15 in the Around Town League at Collins Bowling Centers-Southland.
Ward opened with a perfect game, and he followed that up with a 246 and a 258. He also had an 811 on Oct.1, and his first career 800 (an 808) on Sept. 17.
The perfect game was his second this season and the sixth of his career.
■ Corey Gillespie also rolled a 300 in the Around Town League on Oct. 15 to pace a 772 series. Ron Thomas Jr. had a perfect game in the James R. Wafford Memorial League.
Never miss a local story.
Another perfect game came from Steve Salmon. His 300 was on Oct. 20 in the Beltline League at Southland. The 300 was his first and he accomplished the feat using a house ball, a rare feat in today's bowling world. He also rolled a 299 last month in the league, also with a house ball.
