Tristan Musick of Olathe, Kan., rolled the first-ever 800 in the United States Bowling Congress Youth Open Tournament this past Sunday in Las Vegas.
Musick, 13, rolled games of 256-248-299 for an 803 in the singles event. The southpaw left a tenpin on his final ball. Musick had rolled a 300 game though on May 1.
This was the first time he had participated in the USBC Youth Open event, which began in 2007.
■ Hall of Famer Pete Weber extended his career record for regional PBA titles this past Sunday, winning the Illinois Valley Classic Super Regional in Peru, Ill. Weber defeated Chris Loschette in the finals to earn $3,800 and his 46th regional PBA crown.
