Bob White tossed the third perfect game of the season on Sept. 22 at Joyland Bowl on Paris Pike.
Bowling in the LBAD League, White began his evening with his first-ever perfect game and followed with 180 and 188 for a 668. White, who has been bowling for more than 40 years, was shocked at his performance.
"I never thought I would and didn't realize I was until the 10th frame," he said. "After bowling the 300 in the first game, I couldn't seem to get a strike."
White's score is the third perfect game this season. The other two were by Jeff Napier, who rolled one at Southland in August and one at Eastland in September.
Never miss a local story.
Four bowlers came close to 300 this past week, all posting 290 scores. Lee Troxtle and Bill Pianovski both rolled 290 games in the Friday Night Fun League at Eastland on Sept. 23, and Jason Williams and Tyler Magedanz both rolled 290 on Monday in the James R. Wafford Memorial League at Southland.
