Bowling is often called a sport for all ages and that certainly applies to the last couple of weeks in Lexington.
Corey Gillespie, 20, rolled his fourth perfect game of the season and Charles Sims, 89 years young, converted the 7-10 split.
Gillespie rolled his score in the Around Town League at Collins Bowling Centers-Southland on March 22. The score is his second perfect game in the league this season and it highlighted a 722 series.
Sims, who recently turned 89, accomplished his feat in the 50/50 Seniors League at Collins Bowling Centers-Eastland on March 16. Sims is averaging 142 in the league and has rolled a high game this season of 190.
The winter leagues are wrapping up their seasons the next couple of weeks and the summer leagues will be beginning soon. There are opportunities to bowl in all types of leagues at every center in town. Contact your favorite center and join in on the fun like Corey and Charles.
