Don Coffman of Stamping Ground placed third in the 70-74 age group Monday in the Boston Marathon. Coffman, 72, covered the distance in 3 hours, 31 minutes flat.
A trio of 33-year-olds from Louisville were the fastest finishers from Kentucky. Andrew Danner placed 491st overall in 2:44:48. Michael Meyer was next, 671st in 2:47:23. Then came Brian Lindsey, 975th in 2:50:22.
Former University of Kentucky runner Josh Nadzam, 26, was the fourth Kentuckian and first from Lexington, placing 1,319th in 2:53:50.
Amy Doolittle-Crider, 35, from Louisville, was the top female finisher from Kentucky. She placed 3,498th overall and 231st among the women in 3:04:38.
