A motorcyclist was killed and his passenger was injured in a collision in Knox County, Kentucky State Police said.
The crash occurred about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on Ky. 3436 in the community of Corbin, according to state police at the Harlan post.
Michael Caldwell, 21, of Woodbine in Whitley County, was traveling east on a 2008 Honda motorcycle with passenger Jamie Sibley, 29, also of Woodbine, police said.
Mallory Johnson, 27, of Corbin was driving west on the highway in a 2006 Nissan Armada when she attempted to turn left into a driveway. Her vehicle and the motorcycle collided, troopers said.
Caldwell and Sibley were thrown from the cycle.
Caldwell died at the scene. Sibley was flown to University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment, police said.
Johnson was taken to Baptist Health in Corbin for observation, and two others in the Nissan were not injured.
An investigation into the wreck continues.
