In its 84-77 win over Kentucky in Knoxville back on Feb. 2 -- you know, the one where the Vols overcame a 21-point first-half deficit -- Tennessee shot 41.9 percent to UK’s 41.1. The Vols made eight of 19 three-pointers for 42.1 percent, compared to UK’s seven-of-22 from three for 31.8 percent.
The real difference was at the foul line where the Vols made 30 of 34 free throws. Kentucky was 18-of-23 at the stripe. And the smaller Vols outrebounded the Cats 37-36.
Thursday night brings the UK-UT rematch, so here’s a look at season statistical comparisons between the two teams.
