Station's Mackleads Butlerin exhibition win

Shelvin Mack, a freshman who starred at Bryan Station, scored 16 points in Butler's 91-52 exhibition victory over Division II Oakland City. Mack was 4-for-6 from three-point range and hit all four of his free-throw attempts.

Martin Methodist 68, Union 63 (OT): Union rallied from a 38-29 halftime deficit to force overtime before losing its final game in the Rotary Club Classic hosted by Bethel College.

Michael Hester's career-best 17 points led Union (0-5). He also led the team with four assists.

Lindsey Wilson 79, Bluefield 76: Junior guard Eric McPherson hit a three-pointer from the top of the key with 4.8 seconds left to break a tie and eventually give host Lindsey Wilson the victory. Andrija Tintor scored a career-high 20 points on 7-for-9 shooting for Lindsey Wilson (1-1).

Pikeville 72, Virginia-Wise 63: Anthony Smith came off the bench to score 15 points and grab 11 rebounds as Pikeville (2-0) beat visiting Virginia Wise.

Alice Lloyd 107, Free Will Baptist Bible 77: Will Dillard had 22 points on 10-for-11 shooting as Alice Lloyd improved to 4-0. The Eagles shot 63.2 percent in the first half to take a 60-45 lead at halftime at Pikeville.

Berea 95, Boyce 49: Cody Hornsby had 20 points, and Chase Wofford added 19 as host Berea routed Boyce (0-1). Cory Schlesinger added nine assists for the Mountaineers (1-1).

Georgetown 76, Northwestern Ohio 66: Demetrius Guions led host Georgetown with 19 points, and Jerry Turner made eight of 10 free-throw attempts to finish with 18 points for the Tigers (3-0).

Western Kentucky 70, Bellarmine 65: Orlando Mendez-Valdez connected on his third three-pointer of the second half with 1:59 to play and newcomer Uros Komadinic came off the bench with 54.9 ticks left to knock down a pair of free throws as Western rallied from a nine-point second-half deficit to stave off visiting Bellarmine

Mendez-Valdez had game-high 18 points.

State women

Union 79, Ohio Dominican 64: Union (2-1) overcame a seven-point halftime deficit to beat visiting Ohio Dominican in the Union College Lady Bulldog Classic.

Ashley Lunsford had 10 points and 13 rebounds to go along with five assists and three steals. Bryan Station grad Carley Blankenship chipped in with 13 points, respectively.

Cumberlands 70, King College 36: Lauren Wombles scored 12 points in the first half and finished with 26 as the host Patriots routed King College in the "High 5" Classic. Wombles also had seven rebounds, three steals and a block.

The Patriots (2-1) forced 27 turnovers and had five blocks and 11 steals.

Lindsey Wilson 89, Robert Morris 73: Ewa Bukowska had 17 points and seven rebounds to help the host Blue Raiders improve to 4-0.

Berea 114, Ohio State-Newark 55: Candy Walls led six Berea players in double figures with 17 points, and the Mountaineers (2-1) held the visitors to 28.8 percent shooting.
