The JustFundKY non-profit organization hopes to recapture the magic of horsewoman Anita Madden's renowned Derby Eve parties at a fundraiser-bash in Lexington this year.
The theme for the party, which will be May 3 at The Grand Reserve, 903 Manchester Street, is "'Night of Phoenix,' which evokes the image of resurrecting Lexington's past tradition of having the most exciting Derby Eve in the country," according to a news release.
Honorary co-hosts of the event are Mayor Jim Gray and L. Tracee Whitley, chief operating officer of Bingham, McCutchen law firm.
Admission is $125. The event will include live and silent auctions, an open premium bar and hors d'oeuvres, entertainment by the Imperial Court of Kentucky, and dance music by Superfecta.
