Dream of simpler times

Irving Berlin's White Christmas, The Exhibit opens Saturday at the Frazier History Museum, 829 West Main Street in Louisville. Items on loan from the Rosemary Clooney House in Augusta include costumes and memorabilia from the classic film starring Clooney, Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye. 'Carmina Burana'

The Lexington Philharmonic will be joined by five regional choirs and three vocal soloists for Carmina Burana at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Singletary Center for the Arts. Scriabin's Poem of Ecstasy opens the program, followed by Orff's Carmina Burana featuring choirs from Eastern Kentucky University; Berea College; the University of Kentucky; Transylvania University; SCAPA Children's Choir and soloists Amanda Woodbury, soprano; Daniel Shirley, tenor; and Chad Sloan, baritone.
