Before even a flake fell in Friday’s predicted winter storm, numerous performances, concerts and other events scheduled in Central Kentucky this weekend were canceled or postponed.
A few performances were able to immediately announce rescheduled dates, including Friday night’s concert by Billy Gibbons and the BFGs at the Lexington Opera House. It has been moved to Thursday night, and presenter Troubadour Concerts says people with tickets don’t have to do anything except show up at the rescheduled show.
Friday night’s performance by bluegrass stars Town Mountain at Cosmic Charlie’s has been postponed. A new date has not been announced.

Bluegrass Opera has moved its entire second weekend of performances of A Glorious Day to next weekend at the Downtown Arts Center.
The Woodford Theatre has cancelled Friday's opening night performance of Of Mice and Men. The theater is contacting ticket holders to exchange for different days.
Studio Players has cancelled Friday night's performance of Wonder of the World. Ticket holders will be contacted Monday to exchange their tickets for other performances. Friday night ticket holders wishing to attend Saturday or Sunday's performances can exchange their tickets at the theater on the day of the performance. Theater spokesman Bob Singleton said a decision on Saturday's show will be made by 4 p.m. Saturday and be announced on its website and Facebook page.
Institute 193 has rescheduled its opening reception for the Joy Drury Cox exhibit Please Print Legibly from Friday to 6 to 8 p.m. next Friday, Jan. 29.
Friday night's performance of WinterFest’s My Fair Lady has been canceled, pushing the production's opening night back two evenings, as Thursday's performance was also cancelled. The theater says ticket holders will be contacted to exchange their tickets.
The Grand Theatre Lancaster has rescheduled Friday night's performance by the group Live From Nashville to April 23.
Comedian Ron White's performance at the Louisville Palace Friday night has been postponed until Sunday. All tickets will be honored at the Sunday show.
In Corbin, Brad Paisley’s scheduled Saturday night concert at the Southeastern Kentucky Agricultural and Expo Center has been postponed. A rescheduled date has not been announced.
