Collaborations have become the calling card of numerous music awards shows, and the Lexington Music Awards are following suit its first announcement of performers.
A hip hop summit of Devine Carama, Hybrid the Rapper and Sheisty Khrist tops the initial announcement of performers set to take the stage at the Lexington Music Awards, Sunday night at the Lyric Theatre and Cultural Arts Center. Hybrid won the best hip hop award at last year’s inaugural Lexington Music Awards, and all three are nominated this year along with Strange Savage.
Producer David McLean says there will also be a singing trio with two of Lexington’s young talents, Rhyan Sinclair and Sydney Cubit, along with Jeana Pillion of the jazz and light rock quartet Soljam and the jazz band Young at Heart.
Also slated to perform are guitarist Alan Robinson and the Kentucky United Pipe and Drum Band.
Also in its second year, the music awards will have a house band, The Twiggenburys.
