David Letterman received an up-close look at a quaint Kentucky town for the second episode of his Netflix talk show.
George Clooney, along with his parents Nick and Nina Clooney, are featured in the second episode of Letterman’s show, titled “My Guest Needs No Introduction.”
Letterman interviewed Clooney’s parents at their Augusta home, according to The Ledger Independent in Maysville. It’s unsure how much footage of Augusta will be used in the show, which debuts Friday.
Nick Clooney told The Ledger Independent that Letterman was friendly and funny while in Augusta.
“He loved the town and had a wonderful time,” George’s father said. “He even took a ride on the Augusta ferry. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for everyone involved.”
Augusta Pub, a bar that was also featured in the show, will host a viewing party for the episode, the newspaper said.
The star of the episode, of course, will be George Clooney, a Lexington native and Augusta-raised famed actor.
Letterman’s interview with Clooney, according to Entertainment Weekly, will cover his childhood, journey through Hollywood and his personal life. He also went into detail with Letterman about how he met his wife, world-renowned human rights lawyer Amal Clooney.
The one-hour show was filmed late last year.
Clooney follows in the footsteps of former President Barack Obama, who was the first guest of Letterman’s Netflix show, when it debuted on Jan. 12.
Up next for Clooney is a return to television, where he will star in “Catch 22,” a World War II-era miniseries on Hulu. It will be Clooney’s first TV series role since his breakthrough on “ER.”
