Advance tickets for new ‘Star Wars’ movie are available in Lexington

Fans hoping to catch Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens on its opening night may want to buy tickets in advance.

As of Thursday afternoon, tickets to early showings on Dec. 17 were available at many Lexington theaters. Restrictions on costuming vary by theater, so you might want to verify with the theater before you Super Glue fur for your Chewbacca mask.

Cinemark Movies 10, 425 Codell Drive

Earliest show available: 7 p.m.

Costume policy: OK, but face-painting, toy weapons and masks aren’t welcomed.

Cinemark Fayette Mall and XD, 3800 Mall Road

Earliest show available: 7:30 p.m.

Costume policy: OK. No face-painting, weapons or masks.

Regal Hamburg Pavilion Stadium 16 & RPX, 1949 Star Shoot Parkway

Earliest show available: 7:30 p.m.

Costumes: allowed, but “no mask wearing or weapon-like props”

Movie Tavern BRC, 150 Langley Drive, Nicholasville

Earliest show available: 7:00 p.m.

Costume Policy: OK. No masks, helmets, face paint or weapons.

Kentucky Theater, 214 East Main Street

Earliest time available: 7:15 p.m.

Costume: Costumes, masks and face paint OK. Fake weapons are not.
