The musical, directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, launched Lexington native Laura Bell Bundy to stage stardom. She left the show earlier this year. The show currently stars Bailey Hanks, winner of the MTV reality show Legally Blonde: The Search for Elle Woods. It was based on the hit movie starring Reese Witherspoon and the novel by Amanda Brow.
The show, which has music and lyrics by Nell Benjamin and Laurence O'Keefe, and a book by Heather Hach, tells the story of a determined young woman, who, when dumped by her boyfriend, goes to Harvard Law School, which her ex also attends.
